District 6000 invites your club to nominate a past president to serve as District Governor in 2029–2030. Candidates must be club members in good standing, have at least seven years of Rotary membership before taking office, and be available for the training and time commitments associated with the position.

Dear Rotarian,
District 6000 invites your club to nominate one of your past presidents for District Governor in 2029-2030.
• The Rotarian your club nominates must be in good standing as a member of your club
• Have at least seven years of Rotary membership by the time they take office as Governor
• Commit to be available for some Rotary District activities in preparation for the office
• Be able to arrange their affairs for the time demands of the governorship. Term of office for District Governor is 1 year, but there will be training and experience in the years leading up to the year in office.
The nominating form, qualifications and preparation schedule are attached. What you need to do now:
• If you are interested in serving as District Governor, talk to your club President about the qualifications and duties of the District Governor. You can also talk with any member of the Nominating Committee.
• The club board will meet to nominate a candidate.
• The candidate needs to complete the Governor-nominee form (attached writable pdf) and both the club secretary and candidate need to sign the statements on the form.For the Form Please Reach out to

• Mail the Governor-nominee form, resume and Rotary history to Rotary D6000, PO Box 122, Pella, IA 50219. They need to be received by October 13, 2026.
• Candidate interviews are scheduled for November 1, 202. Candidates should be available on this date however, if circumstances prevent that, an interview via zoom will be arranged.
