All Around Rotary Podcast Episode 8
Here's February 2020 episode of All-Around Rotary Podcast.
Fellow Rotarians Peter Teahen and past District 6000 governor, John Ockenfels, are raising awareness for polio eradication by piloting a single engine aircraft all the way around the globe in 51 days!
Only 700 pilots in history have ever achieved this feat. It all starts on March 24th from the Cedar Rapids, IA airport. We're excited to share John's enthusiasm and passion for flying and eradicating polio on this edition of All-Around Rotary.
Feel free to let us know what you think or ideas on how we can better use this medium to benefit District 6000 and Rotary over all.
Future month podcasts will feature the exciting things happening in clubs around the district, fascinating Rotarians, and Rotary activities around the world. The following article can be found in the winter 2020 edition of the online magazine “Fresh Pickings” brought to us by the Iowa Food and Family Project. The article features our very own John Mortimer (our club’s Rotarian of the Year for 2019-2020). I’ve tried to expand the print enough for you to read it. The full 40 page magazine can be found at the URL below. I had not seen this magazine before, but it has many great articles that you might enjoy.
