Listen to New Board Member Shawn Mullen's Monthly Podcast
Want to keep up on the exciting things that make Rotary great? A part of each monthly edition of D6000 NEWS will be a podcast hosted by Shawn Mullen new District 6000 board member and past president of the Rotary Club of Des Moines. Just click on the link to tune in.
There’s no benefit to keeping successful membership development ideas confined to just your club and no two Rotarians know that better than Matt Olson with the Rotary Club of Waukee and Steve Wieneke with the Rotary Club of Ankeny. They readily share their successes with us during this month’s episode of All-Around Rotary.
Take a listen and let’s Grow Rotary. If you’d like to learn more from either of our guests, contact them via e-mail at:
Matt Olson – olsonrotary@gmail.com or Steve Wieneke – sawieneke@gmail.com
Feel free to let us know what you think or ideas on how we can better use this medium to benefit District 6000 and Rotary over all.
Future month podcasts will feature the exciting things happening in clubs around the district, fascinating Rotarians, and Rotary activities around the world. Look for Shawn’s podcast in each edition of your D6000 NEWS monthly. To be sure you receive it, make certain your computer filters allow rotary emails to reach your inbox.
This month’s first Women in Rotary interview is with Ambassador Mary Kramer, a long time member of the Rotary Club of Des Moines. Ambassador Kramer served at the request of President George W. Bush as US Ambassador to Barbados and other islands in the Eastern Caribbean. Prior to that, she served as President of the Iowa Senate for several of her years as an elected state official. She first became a Rotarian when she worked for a large Iowa company. The link to her interview is imbedded and available with one click. ENJOY!!!
Our second Women in Rotary interview in this month’s edition is with Shristi Sharma, a high school Interacter from Fairfield. She is an energetic and committed supporter of The Interact program at Fairfield High School. She totally gets it that Rotary Connects the World, because of the number of members in her club who are from foreign backgrounds. Connect with Shristi by clicking on the link below:
