There was an article in a recent Rotary International magazine suggesting that current Extension Clubs consider changing its name to Companion Club.
There are a variety of reasons, but a primary reason is that the name “Companion” denotes “working together” and ties in with “Unity” or “Unite for Good.”
The word “companion” also means “a pair intended to complement each other” or “one who serves as a friend or partner.”
The second of four Rotary Foundation Receptions, hosted by DG Norlan Hinke, was a great success in Ames on November 3rd!
The evening at Della Viti Wine Bar, hosted by the Rotary Club of Ames and Ames Morning Rotary, brought together around 30 Rotarians from across the district for excellent fellowship and, of course, a little wine.

The Corning Rotary Club was pleased to present a check in the amount of $2000 for Polio Plus to John Ockenfels, District Polio Chair, at the Rotary Foundation Reception in Creston on October 27th .
