February 2025: Peacebuilding and Conflict Resolution Month

February is a significant month for Rotary, not only because it marks Peacebuilding and Conflict Resolution Month, but also because it commemorates the anniversary of the first Rotary meeting in Chicago in 1905.

Why is Peacebuilding Important to Rotary?

Rotary is dedicated to fostering environments where peace can thrive. As a humanitarian service organization, peacebuilding is at the heart of our mission, guiding our efforts to create lasting change in communities worldwide.

The Impact of Your Generosity

The dedication and generosity of our members make a profound difference. Your contributions to The Rotary Foundation continue to drive positive change across the globe.

Fun Fact!

Did you know that during the 2023-2024 Rotary year, District 6000 received $50,000 from Rotarians who donated anywhere from $25 to $50,000 or more to the Rotary Foundation through the Annual Fund Share? Half of these donations return to the district for Community Service Grants.

These generous Rotarians represent 69% of our district. Imagine the impact if 100% of our members contributed—our district could gain an additional $25,000 to $75,000 in funding!

Let’s continue working together to build peace and strengthen communities.

Thanks for serving as your Club Foundation Chair!

We enjoy working with you to make a lasting impact!

Best regards,

Neil Fell - West- Annual Fund Chair

Mark Ruggeberg - East  - Annual Fund Chair
