Now, as Rotarians, we know that it pulls at all our hearts.
That is why Mason’s Lighthouse is a cause that near to and dear to many District 6000 Rotarians.
Two of our members are on the board, Steve Dakin and Brianna Wills. We had a nice representation at the Rays of Light Gala on November 15th. The gala was held at the Riverside Casino. The gala raised $165,621 for the building of the hospice and respite care home for children in Iowa City.
The District 6000 Board of Directors has Committed the remaining DDF funds in the amount of $14,136 to Mason’s Lighthouse. Mason’s Lighthouse is an ongoing project to raise funds to construct a Respite Care and Hospice Home in Iowa City for Kids. It will be one of only four such facilities in the United States. We will focus on funding Mason’s Lighthouse at the May 2026 Annual Conference also.
