Annual Fund

The Annual Fund is the cornerstone of The Rotary Foundation funding.  Each District 6000 Rotarian is encouraged and expected to support The Rotary Foundation annually with a contribution of at least $100 as a part of the Every Rotarian, Every Year campaign.  District 6000 Rotarians contributing to the Annual Fund receive Paul Harris Fellow recognition credit.  Those District 6000 Rotarians with the financial capability and appreciate the tremendous good accomplished by The Rotary Foundation are encouraged to become members of the District 6000 Paul Harris Society by contributing $1,000 annually.

Purpose:

·         Build upon the previous year's success, through follow-up with club Foundation Chairs/Secretaries/Presidents asking them to contact non-giving members to encourage them to commit to annual giving of $100 or more.

·         Assist the DRFC Chair in promoting Foundation Giving

·         Assist clubs with procedural efforts in using "Recognition Points" (How to's)

·         Provide "Foundation Minutes" to each club asking them to distribute them to their members to help promote the understanding of Foundation efforts.

·         Ask Club Secretaries to access their Club Recognition Summary from the RI website and work with Foundation Chairs to check for accuracy. Submit corrections promptly when found.

·         Encourage clubs to seek out members who are willing to give $1,000 annually (Paul Harris Society)

·         Provide Committee member or other committed Sustaining member to offer Foundation Programs to clubs especially during Nov./Dec.
